1. Is Modere available in New Zealand right now?
   Short answer: Yes, HERE. Starting October 2025 you can buy Modere products in New Zealand through Modere’s new home – Shaklee. For now we will have to use the Aussiie website – but later this year we will be getting our own NZ website with the Moedre products and Shaklee products. Modere’s original company shut operations in April 2025, but Shaklee publicly acquired select Modere assets and product rights for Modere New Zealand and is bringing many Modere products back under Shaklee’s distribution. It’s all back as of October 14th 2025.

2. Why did Modere close?
   It was for finiancial reasons. But happily, the Modere products aren’t owned by a panel or corporate investors anymore… Now, the Modere products are privately owned by Roger Barnett and his company Saklee which is a zero debt company. Roger has stated it is a legacy company and is in it for generations.

3. Who bought Modere’s New Zealand assets?
   Shaklee now has the exclusive rights to the Modere products – meaning that no one except for Shaklee and their representatives have the rights to sell Modere products – inluding to New Zealand. Roger Barnett owns Shaklee, he is a lovely man. I’ve been on a few zoom calls with him and he is very genuine and warm hearted. Shaklee announced it acquired select Modere assets and product rights for New Zealand (including rights to some product formulas and Liquid BioCell). The deal is positioned as an asset acquisition rather than buying Modere, Inc. as a whole – which means the own downlines have been dissolved. People can choose if and who they would like to join.

4. Will Liquid BioCell (Modere collagen) be sold in NZ again?
   Yes, as of Oct 2025 — Shaklee’s NZ acquisition announcement specifically included Liquid BioCell among product rights being acquired. Shaklee is now the exclusive owner of Liquid BioCell Collagen.

5. When will Modere products return to NZ?
   Today! October 2025. Public announcements indicate Shaklee is relaunching Modere-branded products under its NZ operations; press releases give timing windows (check the Shaklee/PR channels for firm launch dates). If you want the exact day, refer to Shaklee’s official NZ/PR announcements.

6. Where can I buy Modere products in New Zealand once they’re back?

7. What happened to my Modere subscription / autoship after the April 2025 closure?
   Many customers reported interrupted orders, frozen funds or unanswered subscription issues following the abrupt closure. If you had a subscription, document your transactions and contact the acquiring company (Shaklee NZ) or your payment provider — and also check NZ consumer protection guidance for remedies.

8. Can I get a refund for Modere purchases made before the closure?
   Refunds depend on who took ownership of liabilities and the local legal framework. In NZ, consumer rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act may apply if you bought from a NZ business; otherwise refunds are case-by-case. Keep receipts and contact the acquiring company or your payment/card provider; if you hit walls, NZ consumer protection sites explain escalation routes.

9. Is Liquid BioCell clinically proven?
   Liquid BioCell (BioCell Collagen®) has several published human trials (randomized, placebo-controlled small trials and bioavailability studies) showing improvements in joint scores and skin hydration in study populations. These are ingredient-level studies; interpret with the usual scientific caution (sample sizes, sponsorship, endpoints). 

10. What exactly is Liquid BioCell?
    Liquid BioCell is a patented collagen/HA/chondroitin matrix (derived from sternal cartilage in controlled sources) marketed as a highly bioavailable liquid collagen ingredient aimed at skin and joint support. It’s a specific ingredient/formulation rather than a generic “collagen powder.” 

11. Are Modere products vegan or vegetarian?
    Most are vegetarian. Some are vegan.  Individual product labels indicate ingredients.

12. Are Modere products tested on animals?
    No, there is no animal testing. Modere publicly states a no-animal-testing policy (and PETA lists Modere as cruelty-free).  PETA’s Ultimate Cruelty-Free List+1

13. Are Modere products halal / kosher?
    Certification is product-specific. Liquid BioCell PURE is halal. If you require halal/kosher status, check the product-specific certifications or contact the (new) distributor in NZ.

14. Do Modere products have side effects?
    Health and wellness is a key focus of Modere and theor products go through strict testing, so any side effects should be rare and mild. As with any supplement/cosmetic, side effects vary by product and person. Collagen and many supplements are generally well tolerated in studies, but allergic reactions, GI upset, or interactions with medications can occur. Speak to your GP/pharmacist if you have health conditions or take prescription drugs. (Clinical safety data for ingredients like BioCell exist but are not a guarantee for every individual.)

15. Can I take Liquid BioCell while pregnant or breastfeeding?
    Many do. Pregnant or breastfeeding people should always check with their maternity care provider before starting any supplement. Many clinical trials exclude pregnant women, so the safest route is to get personalised medical advice.

16. Are Modere weight-loss products (Trim, Curb, Burn) approved in NZ?

    Yes. It is allowed to get personal orders from overseas – here is the MODERE SHOP. It is not allowed to buy from Amazon or ebay as these are not authorised sellers of Modere and you don’t know if stock is authentic or in date or unopened. Always buy from a Modere distributor, HERE. You can import many consumer supplements, but you must meet NZ import and labelling rules and biosecurity requirements. 19. Where were Modere products manufactured?
    Historically Modere used various international manufacturing partners (US / EU / contract manufacturers). Liquid BioCell is an ingredient produced by BioCell Technology and used by Modere/partners under license. After Shaklee’s asset acquisitions, manufacturing/sourcing arrangements may be adjusted under Shaklee’s supply chain. 

20. How do I know a Modere product is authentic in NZ?
    Buy through official Shaklee/NZ channels SHOP LINK. 

21. Are Modere product claims (anti-ageing, weight loss) scientifically supported?
    Yes. Some ingredient claims (e.g., BioCell Collagen studies showing improvements in skin hydration/joint measures) are supported by trials. Many other claims are supported by thousands of customers experiences and depend on individual response. Read trial details (endpoints, sample size, sponsor) and seek independent reviews where possible. 

22. Will Shaklee change Modere formulas?
    No, Roger Barnett has stated that the Modere formulas will not be changed. Public acquisition statements say Shaklee bought product rights, trademarks and formulas for the NZ market, and intends to make the same trusted formulas available under Shaklee.

23. Will pricing change when Shaklee relaunches Modere products in NZ?
    They will be the same price as before (pretty much, some are a couple dollars less than before) check Shaklee NZ’s official pricing HERE.

24. Are Modere products safe for children?
    A lot of the Modere products are very gentle and good for sensitive skin so many people choose to use much of the Modere product range by the whole family. The Modere toothpaste and mouth wash (Modere Mouth rinse) are used by many families. Some products are adult-formulated and not intended for children. Always read label age recommendations and consult a paediatrician before giving supplements to children. Clinical trials typically involve adults.

25. Where is the new Modere NZ warehouse?
    Currently, orders from New Zealand will ship from the AU warehouse. But later this year in 2025 NZ will bet it’s own Modere warehouse in Auckland, New Zealand.

26. Are Modere household products (cleaners) non-toxic?
    Yes. ‘Live Clean’ is the motto. Modere marketed “clean” household lines with reduced harsh chemicals. Check product safety data sheets and ingredient lists for hazard information and follow label instructions. 27. If I’m a Modere distributor in NZ, what happens to my business?

28. Will existing Modere warranties, return policies or guarantees still apply? Shaklee has a return policy that is even better than the old Modere. Any Modere products bought fro Shaklee will be covered by Shaklees very generous refund policy. 32. Is Liquid BioCell better than collagen powders?
    Yes. By far, more readily absorbed and used by the body. Liquid BioCell is the most bio-identical collage molecule on the market. It’s a multi patented collagen/HA matrix marketed formulated for bioavailability. Powders vary widely in source, peptide size, and formulation and are not absorbed well by people with gut issues.

33. Can I combine Modere collagen with other supplements?

    Yes — several research articles and ingredient owner trial summaries exist (randomized trials and bioavailability studies). Look up BioCell Collagen clinical publications and the ingredient owner’s clinical trial pages for primary papers.

43. What’s the difference between Modere’s “Liquid BioCell® Life” and Liquid BioCell Pure?
    Life Liquid BioCell has resveratrol in it which I like because I find it helps with inflammation. Product variants combine the Liquid BioCell Matrix ingredient with additional nutrients (e.g. superfruits and resveratrol) while plain Liquid BioCell focuses on the collagen/HA matrix alone. 

44. Does Shaklee plan to sell Modere products globally or only in NZ?
    Modere products are available through the new owner, Shaklee, in several regions globally including the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Japan. Modere products are in the works of getting to Europe and the goal is to make it back to Europe by the end of 2026. In the mean time I can post Modere orders to Europe and you pay international shipping. I have several customers who do this to get their Modere products in Europe.
